First Priority is a youth-led Christian club in a variety of different schools. Here at Cypress Creek High School, it is led by 11th grade students, Lindsay Fulop, Riley Isham, and Rachel Ellison. First priority used to meet in the media center, but recently they have grown so much that students are now meeting in the cafeteria instead. Every Friday students meet to talk about the Lord and read more about His word. They share the Gospel and help students grow closer to God.
Campbell Bradley, a freshman student, says “First Priority is a group with a good and honest community that helps me learn more about God and how to navigate high school through the light of Jesus.” Students who attend first priority learn how to navigate the stress of school while also living for Jesus.
First Priority attendees learn more about the Bible and how to live for God. For many students, finding a good group of friends or community can be challenging, especially as a high schooler. “I go to first priority to deepen my relationship with Christ and to find a Godly community,” said freshman Elizabeth Fennig.
These students have found something they enjoy and a good community of friends. First priority is not only a club for those who want to find a good group of friends, but those who want to have a good time and be inspired to learn more about God.
At First Priority, some students share their testimony as well. They have had had their lives changed by Christ and want to tell others about their story. Students who share their testimony could have an impact on someone else.
First Priority is a club for others to come together, share their stories, and find Jesus. Junior, Lindsay Fulop says, “I want to show people that there are students here that believe that they see us in the hallways and trust that they can follow us instead of others.”
