Amaiya Peterson is a junior at Cypress Creek High School. She is currently enrolled in photojournalism. Even though this is her first time in photojournalism, she takes her photos very seriously. Amaiya prefers to write stories about what is going on in school and in the world. She is an African American who wants to encourage other students to give input on more diverse topics for the newspaper. Amaiya mainly writes about and photographs her family. She is the oldest of four children. Family is everything to her! She is very excited to keep learning about photography!
