Cypress Creek High School’s band program is run by Mrs. Strok-Feeley. The band not only allows for members to learn and enhance their musical capabilities but also creates a sense of companionship between members.
“My favorite part of band is having fun with my friends and free food!” said sophomore Naomi Colon.
There are several instruments available to students catering to a wide range of musical interests. Junior, Sami Mejia stated “I enjoy the piccolo, I have a friend who inspires me to play it”
The band has many performances throughout the year that allow members to showcase their skills. Sophomore, Colon said “I had a lot of fun preforming at the homecoming pep rally, we did a really great job”
All the credit goes to the band director Mrs. Strok-Feeley who despite having to balance rehearsals, performances, and pep rallies and still maintains to support band members in improving their musical skills as well as their ability to work as a team
Although the band has a busy schedule with performances, football games and pep rallies the program remains to bring students together through music. The program serves not only as a way for students to express themselves creatively as well as learning teamwork and discipline.
As the first semester of the school year comes to an end, members continue to impress with their outstanding performances. “I look forward to the remainder of the year” stated sophomore Colon.
